Ambassador Namira Negm (PhD) is the Legal Counsel and the Director at the Office of the Legal Counsel of the African Union. She obtained a PhD in Public International law from the University of London and an LLM from King's College London. Ambassador Namira Negm has served as Ambassador of Egypt to Rwanda (2014-2017). She was also the Legal advisor to the Egyptian Mission in NY (2006-2010). She has acted as a lead negotiator for several international legal instruments during her career. Ambassador Namira Negm also led a Legal Team before the ICJ in the Chagos Advisory Opinion and before the ICC in Jordan's Appeal in the Bashir case.

Akinyi Lisa Agutu is an International Trade Lawyer based in Washington, D.C. She is trained in Kenya and the United States, specializing in international trade law, international investment law, international business transactions, international monetary and financial law, and international dispute settlement. She obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Strathmore University in Nairobi, Kenya, after which she pursued her Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the Georgetown University Law Center in International Business and Economic Law with a certificate in International Trade Law and World Trade Organization studies. Prior to her LL.M. at Georgetown, she worked at Rivera & Asociados in Buenos Aires, Argentina, primarily on international financial and monetary law matters; and at Victor Lee Legal in Nairobi, Kenya, where she focused on intellectual property law, commercial law, and family law. While at Georgetown, Akinyi was a fellow at the Institute of International Economic Law and was the founder and first president of the Georgetown International Trade Law Society.
