Dr. Vanni is a Lecturer in Law at the University of Leeds, where she is affiliated with the Centre for Business Law and Practice (CBLP), and Centre for Law and Social Justice. Her work lies at the intersection of international economic law, development, and global governance. Her research and teaching are on intellectual property law, international trade law, philanthro-capitalism, critical legal theory and history. Dr Vanni received a B.A. (dual honours) in International Relations and Politics from Keele University, LLM in International Economic Law and PhD in the same field from the University of Warwick. She is the author of the award-winning book, Patent Games in the Global South: Pharmaceutical Patent Law-Making in Brazil, India and Nigeria (Hart/Bloomsbury, 2020).
